History in the making!
On Monday evening, January 4, 2010 the
Dam rink scored an 8 ender. The odds of
this happening are said to be equivalent to
scoring a hole-in-one in golf. Congratulations
go to team members pictured from left to
right: Doug Leng, skip Peter Dam, Chris
Sanchez and Fred Strautman.

On Thursday morning (Dec 17/09) during the
Sunrise League, skips Arnie Gatzke and Jack
Lafore (pictured in the middle), met on the ice
for the 201st time. These gentlemen started
curling on Saturday mornings back in 1966.
They have curled for 43 years in Midland.
Club records were checked and each skip
had won 100 games. As might be expected,
this decisive match ended in a 5-5 tie.
