Greetings Curlers .....

As another season gets underway a few updates:

THE CLUBHOUSE:

LOCKERS --You may have noticed that there are lockers in the

cloakroom.  These lockers are available by silent auction and the winning bids will have use of the Lockers for the 2009-10 season (thru March 2010).

If you are interested in a Locker Please submit your bid in the white

ballot box. The Board will notify the winning bidders during

Thanksgiving week.

SAFETY FIRST -- The First Aid Kit sits on the Fridge in the Blue Bag.

While we hope we never have to use it, we wanted you to be aware!

HEATERS IN THE RESTROOMS -- Heaters were installed in the restrooms

following last years VERY COLD winter. Please check to ensure they

have been turned off if you are the last one to leave the Curling Centre.

MIDLAND CURLING COMMUNITY NEWS:

Ken Burdett, Dick Campbell and John Zimmerman traveled to Kalamazoo

For the Officiating Clinic offered October 24th/25th.

In addition, thanks to Mike Graves for conducting the Instructor and

Skills clinic in October. It was a great opportunity and also a chance

to connect with some of our fellow clubs - Copper Country and Detroit

were also in attendance.

We must also thank Loretta/Nancy/Kathy and Tim Hortons for their

nourishing support!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our first annual Halloween

Bonspiel. Congratulations to the Zimmerman Rink (the REAL Zimmerman

rink) on their win.

The Best costume was judged to be Loretta Waters as John Zimmerman!

Pictures have been posted on www.midlandcurls.org
